There are some differences though due to the philosophy each platform is built-on.

Wordpress is more flexible - there are literally tens of thousands of plugins (not all of which are good to use or even safe to use but that's another story).

The platform is known as a dynamic website - data for each page is stored in a database and the page is basically created on the fly when a user wants to view it.

The CMS WB creates Static HTML pages during development. Typically these are much faster to load giving a better user experience.

WP can be made to be fast but it takes extra work to do so. 

No difference here. It typically takes about the same time to build your site on each of the platforms and there is no difference in the development cost, except for the additional cost of some of the plugins for the WordPress site. 

Since WP is very popular it has become a target for hackers. Being a dynamic website that uses additional plugins to achieve the required functionality, the plugins are pure code and they need to be updated regularly, either for functionality updates or security updates. The hackers look for, and take advantage of plugins that are not updated.

The CMS WB on the other hand is inherently safer and less prone to hacking - however - there are no guarantees that any site will not fall victim to hackers. 

The goal is to make it as difficult as possible for hackers. With WP we add security plugins that help protect the site.

Our CMS WB can be set up to have an auto-renewing SSL certificate.  

For WP sites it's down to the website owner to host the site and have a SSL certificate installed manually.

This refers to the ability of the website to format to differnt screensizes e.g. desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone.

Similarly WP sites can be designed to be responsive and work on all devices 

If you, or a team member, is already comfortable in editing WP sites then great. However, typically clients spend so little time editing their own sites that they never truly become proficient and WP has a fairly steep learning curve.

Our CMS WB is more intuitive to use so even if you are not editing pages very often it's likely to be easier.

A WP site will need to be hosted on a server, typically somewhere like. GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc.

Costs vary greatly depending on the quality of the hosting but you should expect to pay about $25 - $50 per month for a good quality hosting plan.

Yes, there are much cheaper shared plans out there - I think the lowest we have seen is about $5/month but we wouldn't recommend it. 

Our CMS WB, and the resulting sites are hosted on Amazon Web Services. One of the fastest and most secure hosting options available.

The monthly cost is comparable to having to equivalent Wordpress hosting (which you would have to manage yourself). For you it is simply fast, secure and hassle free hosting.
